Witzenmann China acquires a new site in Jiangyin City

Witzenmann Group celebrated the expansion of its Chinese subsidiary with a grand opening ceremony. Witzenmann China has built its new corporate office at the Jiangyin City site and has expanded its capacity.

The expansion was necessary because the company, founded in 2001, has increased its production figures many times over.
In 2016, around 280 employees in Jiangyin produced more than seven million components, primarily decoupling elements for vehicles.

The most modern production equipment

Between May and December 2016, on a 20,000 m² site Witzenmann China built a modern factory with a surface area of 14,000 m². The first components were produced as early as December 2016. All moving work was completed in mid-August 2017 with the acquisition of the management and engineering facilities.
In total, over the last two years the Witzenmann Group has invested around €15 million in modernising and expanding this important site.

Growth in all areas

In the passenger vehicle sector, Witzenmann China is benefiting from the growing demand for decoupling elements. The increase in the pipe system business in the exhaust gas, oil and water recirculation sector will bring further growth.
Rising demand in the utility vehicle sector is also being catered for. The first large series will be delivered as early as next year. In future customers will have access to the full Witzenmann product range for utility vehicles. This includes decoupling elements, engine components, expansion joints and insulated pipe systems.

Development of the industrial business

Witzenmann Group's investment also strengthens the industrial business in Asia. Chinese customers can now be served from the site based there to a much greater extent than was the case previously. "We are also focusing on the fast-growing chemical and energy sectors. As in the vehicle business, in the industrial sector, too, we can demonstrate comprehensive engineering competencies and our proven project expertise," stress Christian Blanke and Martin Xi, the two managing directors of Witzenmann China.

From pioneer to market leader

The investment in the site represents a substantial contribution to Witzenmann's growth strategy in Asia. Alongside the expansion of the utility vehicle business, there will be an intensified commitment to industrial applications. Here there is potential in the area of bellows, valve applications, solar power plant components, as well as expansion joints, hangers and supports. The service concept is always to the fore.

Grand opening

The grand opening of the newly-built complex took place on 20 September. In a diverse program of events, Witzenmann Group employees and invited guests shared their pleasure in the healthy growth and impressive development of Witzenmann China.
